Introduction
Along side the usual web applications skillsets, we also program GUI applications, command-line utilities and scripts for most popular operating systems. Our choice of today's Tcl/Tk as a primary development language provides us with cross-platform software without compromising on speed, features or presentation.
Support Matrix
By using platform independent tools, using tradtional "static linked binaries", we're able to produce software that works with the minimum of fuss.
| OS | Support |
| MS Windows | Windows 98-Vista on Intel style CPUs. |
| Mac OS X | Mac OS X 10.3+, Universal Binary. |
| Linux | Linux kernel 2.4 on Intel style CPUs. |
| Solaris | Solaris 10+ on Intel style CPUs. Solaris 8+ on SPARC (only where provided with test hardware). |
| AIX | AIX 5+ on PowerPC (only where provided with test hardware). |
| HP-UX | HP-UX 11+ on PA-RISC (only where provided with test hardware). |
In most cases, the software produced is a single executible deployment which will not impact on other software you may have installed.
Our Part
We'll provide you with a regularly updated screenshots, Change Log and our To-Do List so you can see how the application is progressing and what we're still working on, along with information on how many hours have been spent.
Your Part
To provide you with well designed software, we both need to avoid shifting objectives (also known as "feature creep"). If you realise you have additional needs outside the original agreed specifications, we will compile these into a list to be implimented in a Version 2.0 once the first version has been released. What terrible software has in common is where code has been started in one direction, then mangled in various directions according to changing decisions mid-stream. Keeping to an agreed set of software objectives from the start means you're never stuck with something that doesn't work, never worked, never will work, or just worked really badly.
