Miscellaneous Policies

CLIENT PASSWORD SECURITY RESPONSIBILITY POLICY

The client is responsible for security at their end and to ensure their details are up to date and changed whenever a username/password pair (or other data) is known to be known by a third party.

We will not be liable for any consequent damage resulting from unauthorized access to client data by third parties, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage. If you know your passwords need changing, change them!

HYPERTEXT LINK POLICY

The provision of an external link does not of itself imply that the document linked to is part of, is endorsed by, or endorses, or has related ownership or distribution terms as the document linked from.

Permission may be considered automatically granted for interested persons to link to pages on this site, provided the link text is not offensive or defamatory.

INFORMATION ON DATES AND MEASURES

Dates here are generally in the form of YYYY-MM-DD. 2002-10-08 refers to October 8th, 2002.

One Megabyte is 2^20 (1,048,576) bytes. However, quotas and traffic charges are generally cited on a 'per 1,000,000 bytes' basis.

CLIENT-SIDE AUTOMATION VIA WEB INTERFACE POLICY

We are aware that it may be tempting to use known form variables and scripts to run up your own automated bulk submissions scripts, etc. However, please be aware that the web pages are designed for interactive use only. We do not warrant that wording, variables or values will remain constant. We therefore disclaim all responsibility for any side-effects caused to such scripts by any such changes in our software.

BROWSER BACKBUTTON, MONTHLY CUSP NOTE

If returning to a previous form which you submitted with your back-button, this will return you to a form with old values which may be no longer valid.

For this reason, we recommend that you either do not use the Back-Button at all and/or that you ensure you refresh any form that you have returned to with the Back-Button before submitting. Ignoring this practice may result in your submitting a form which lists prices outdated by later actions, but which is processed consistent with your later actions.

If the quoted price in the form does not match the price sent to the Items Queue for processing (this may also seen occasionally if a form is loaded in one month and submitted in the next), the item/s may be cancelled before being processed by our merchant facilities.

STANDARD DOCUMENTATION DISCLAIMER

The information on this page is provided in good faith. Reasonable action has been taken to ensure that it is accurate and genuine. Unintended errors can and do occur and changes to software outside our control may render some technical suggestions or recommendations invalid (or occasionally worse).

Therefore, while efforts are made to ensure the accuracy of documentation on this website, the entire risk arising out of the use or performance of documentation on this remains with you. In no event shall the provider of this documentation (and services) be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or other pecuniary loss) arising out of the use of or inability to use the company's product or documentation, even if the provider of this software/documentation has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

SOFTWARE CHOICE POLICY

It is our policy to use open source software in preference to closed source. Closed source applications will only be used when there is no viable open source alternative.

Due to Microsoft's continuing policy of choosing to develop features without regard for security or stability, Microsoft products shall always be considered software of last resort only and never employed to run any mission critical services.
